The boys from Mill Creek lost last night to Hawaii 9-4 in the semifinals of the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Penn.

After avoiding elimination in its previous two games, Mill Creek's magical run ended. Washington stranded 11 runners last night.

The Mill Creek Little League team was on the national stage as they played in the Little League World Series, and their whole hometown was watching.

“You can go to a grocery store and there aren't as many people there, it's almost as if the Seahawks are playing or something," said former Mill Creek player Ben Circeo.

The Mill Creek team won a game Wednesday that got them to the semifinals, beating Jeffersonville, Ind., 3-2.

“Just the fact that they're there is something just beyond prideful for us,” said Tammy Circeo.

Circeo runs a blog for the team and she's in touch with the huge throng of families and fans, who made the trek to Williamsport, Pennsylvania to watch the semifinals.

Hawaii now goes on to play Saturday for the U.S. championship.
